Have you ever said, “When I grow up, I want to be like______, someone you thought was smarter, prettier, more gifted than you? I was talking with a friend the other day who had just experienced a great big AHA! She has been learning and applying the principles of Simple Self-Coaching and realized at a very deep level that when she grows up she wants to be like herself. Imagine that! She is discovering her divine potential and gifts. With that combination, she has everything she needs to be happy.
What do I mean? Of course, none of us is right where we want to be, but when you learn the Universal Laws and apply them consciously in your life, everything changes. You begin to realize your divine worth. You know you have gifts and talents you haven’t recognized and used yet. You know how to receive the guidance and assistance you need to be successful at anything you want.
It all sounds pretty grand, doesn’t it? Well, it really is, but you need to take it a step at a time. Everyone who is hearing this message is at a different spot along that path. You may be saying, “I know that. What else do you have to offer?” Or you may be saying, “Are you kidding? I have failed so many times, I don’t even know where to start. I am nobody.” In either case and anywhere in between, the place to begin is to learn to love and coach yourself.
I am not going to give you a lecture about managing your time better or working harder. All I want you to do is to value who you are right now. When you acknowledge the profound worth of your own soul, your confidence will increase and you will change inside. You will think new thoughts, do more of what you want, and be the woman you are here to be. You are SOMEBODY, somebody very powerful and important. Your job is to learn to use the power you have within you to be the woman you can be and do the good you want to do. It’s really pretty simple.
Every morning and at least two more times each day, stop and look yourself in the eyes in the mirror and sincerely say, “____I love you.” Yes, be sure to say your name first. Even if it feels phony at first, do it anyway. Promise me you will do it for three weeks. Then let me know how it feels. Has anything changed?
