Today we attended two grandchildren’s graduation from high school.  Fortunately they attended the same high school which made it much easier for us.

Watching nearly 600 good looking, excited and hopeful young people receive their diplomas made me think of the class I am teaching on Saturday about ‘life purpose.’ I wasn’t thinking about my life purpose when I graduated from high school.  My purpose was to get out of our little farm town and off to college with the hope of learning something interesting and finding a good husband.

I think it would serve our children well to help them start thinking of their life purpose before they leave home for the big outside world. How could we do that?  It would be different than the question we asked our children every year on their birthday, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”  They automatically replied, “Garbage man,” a favorite of our son who is now a CEO or “A movie star” or, “I don’t know.”  In any case, I wasn’t asking the right question.

Now I ask my grandchildren, “What do you love to do?”  “What makes you happy?”  “What do you want to do to serve others?” I encourage them to talk about those questions and I follow through, encouraging them to answer those questions over and over again as they go through life.  Somewhere along the way, they will discover a reason for doing what they do.  They will know what they were sent here to do and they will love doing it.

At graduation dinner I asked my 21 year old grandson what he would be majoring in at college this fall.  He quickly and enthusiastically replied, “Digital media.  Everyone thought I would change my mind as I got closer to college, but I have always loved it and that’s what I am going to do.”

He has been making movies since he was in grade school.  Yes, he loves it.  He has a passion for it.  Next time I will ask him why he wants to do it. Then he will begin to tell me about his life purpose–the thing that drives his passion.  What drives your passion?  What is your life purpose?

Our grandson, who was four at the time, was about to eat his first corn dog.  He looked at it, took the first bite and exclaimed, “I didn’t know der was a surprise inside of it.”

How many experiences in life provide us with a surprise inside? Some may be pleasant and some, quite disastrous.  Two days ago my two year old grandson found a hatchet his brother thought he had hidden.  He was excited to go show his mom when he dropped it on his toe and got nicked clear to the bone.  The wound was small but traumatic and took three stitches.  It was certainly a surprise!

My friend’s daughter decided to run for Miss Orem (our town).  She is a very talented pianist, tall and beautiful.  She did everything to be prepared.  She thought she had her eye on the first runner up position, but to her shock, her name was called and she is now Miss Orem–cutting ribbons for businesses and leading school children in physical fitness exercises, and preparing for summer parades.  What a fun surprise for Bridget!

Since I care a lot about women and what they think about themselves, I want to share something that was a very pleasant surprise for me a couple of years ago. I took the Family Time and Money Freedom Home Study Course and was surprised to learn that I have strengths and talents I didn’t know were there.  Would I have discovered them or had the courage to pursue them without that course?  I doubt it.

I don’t know for sure, of course, but I do know it taught me to:

  • Think about my thoughts.
  • Learn the laws of thought.
  • Take charge of my thoughts.

Why bother?

  • Because my thoughts create my relationships with my husband and children and grandchildren and friends.
  • Because my thoughts create my prosperity.
  • Because my thoughts create my spirituality.
  • Because my thoughts create my present and my future life.

Every one of those areas were enhanced because of my study of the Family Time And Money Freedom Course. One of the many participants I know is actually living in a 4,000 sq. ft. home for the same price she was paying for a 1,000 sq. ft. home before she took the FTMF course.

I mention the Family Time and Money Freedom Program again because there are less than twenty four hours left before the 30% discount is over.   Check it out here to find out if it is for you. Sometimes the most pleasant surprises come into your life simply because you choose them.  I hope you will.

Have you ever run a red light or a stop sign without being conscious of what you were doing? I had a car full of chattering children and zipped right through a stop sign.  I was tired and distracted by the children before I realized I was already in the middle of the intersection with a car headed right for me.  I gave put on some extra gas and zipped through with my heart pounding.  That was a close one!  I will make sure it never happens again.

Are there other laws we aren’t even aware of that we carelessly ignore every day–laws that if consciously lived, would save us considerable stress and heartache?  I believe there are.  These laws are as certain as the law of gravity.  You don’t get to vote on them.  They simply are. These are the Laws of Thought.  “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”  It looks to me like it would be worth our time to consider how we think, knowing our thoughts control who we become.

I learned some of these laws just by bumping into them on the road of life, just as you have.  However, they were spelled out clearly for me when I studied with Bob Proctor.  I learned to apply them consciously by taking Leslie Householder’s Family, Time and Money Freedom home study course. Leslie guided me through exercises which made me realize that I am truly in charge of the results I am getting in my life–all of the time.  I continued to study with Leslie and became an Official ThoughtsAlive Mentor.

I am offering you a $200 discount on Leslie’s FTMF home study program right now. (She is changing the packaging and wants to clear out the remaining copies of her program before May 25.)  That means instead of paying $647, as you would if you went to her thoughtsalive.com site, you need pay only $447 to receive her complete program and bonuses plus some of my own.  You can’t get this price anywhere else.  Click here to check out what is included and take advantage of the discount before it is too late.

Maybe there will be another golden opportunity along life’s path.  Maybe not. The question to ask yourself is, “Why not start now to be more accountable for the results I am getting in my life in health, wealth and relationships?  What have I got to lose?”  Only you know the answer to that question.  Time marches on.  Don’t wait. Choose in favor of your success and prosperity now.
